At the foot of Golgotha (or Calvary, where Jesus was crucified), in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem, is the stone of Unction or of Anointing. It is a polished red stone about 7ft long and 3ft wide (2 x 1 metres) According to tradition, after the crucifixion the body of Jesus was anointed and prepared here for burial.

The size of the shawl is: 49" by 49" (125 cm by 125 cm) delicate pure white fabric of good quality, 60% cotton, 40% polyester. Contained in each Holy Sepulchre Shawl package is a Sachet of Soil from the Holy Land, an Olive leaf and a miniature Crucifix to remind us of Easter and of the Holy Land.
